PreVail Women's Support Group
is peer-led by Amy Casto, a Mother of two who has faced similar difficulties with the loss of two babies, Miriam (17 wks) and Maya (24 wks). It is a free, confidential, nonjudgmental support group with 7 weeks of rotating subjects and open discussion is always welcomed. As women, we have an immense propensity to feel love for our children - regardless of how small they were or how little time we were allowed to have with them. Unfortunately, when we lose a baby, our ability to fully grieve for the loss is often hindered. Sometimes we feel avoiding the issue will help the pain go away faster. Other times we don't feel permitted to grieve by peple close to us because of their assumption that the newly-developing life didn't count yet. God's Word tells us differently. Unfortunately, often our Faith in God is rocked by these tragedies. We are left with questions and sometimes withdraw from the only source of true peace in Jesus Christ when we need it the most. Please don't bear the burden of grieving alone. There is strength in numbers and you are invited to join us as we give each other encouragement and support as we search God's Word for answers and comfort.
PreVail meets the 3rd Friday of every month at 7:00pm and run until 8:00 or 8:30pm at Metroplex Hospital in Conference Room 4 at Metroplex. Enter through the main hospital entrance and go straight down the hallway ahead of you. On your left will be the cafeteria and across from the cafeteria on the right side of the hallway is Conference Room 4, where PreVail will meet. The meetings are open to everyone in the Central Texas area, including Temple, Belton, Killeen, Copperas Cove, and Lampasas. Due to the mature subject matter of these discussions and out of respect for others privacy, please do not bring children. At this time, child care is not available. So please make arrangements prior to coming to the Support Group.
